As the girls arrived there were fairy wands to decorate. I made them out of wooden dowels, card stock, and curling ribbon. I cut out two stars for each wand and I used hot glue to glue them back to back with the dowel secured in the middle. I had painted the dowels and attached the curling ribbon on the bottom of one of the starts before gluing. On the table were stickers, markers, and colored pencils.

What Time is it Fairy Queen?
This is a game you'll see over and over in our parties. It's the classic "What Time is it Mr. Fox?" and we just change it to fit our theme. The girl waved their wands while yelling to the fairy queen (the birthday girl) "What time is it Fairy Queen?" The birthday girl then gave a time like 5 o'clock and all the fairies would take 5 steps towards her. On "Midnight!" all the fairies ran back to base; however, if the fairy queen touched them with her wand they became one of her servants.
Capture the Gnome
This is a great game to play in place of a pinata! The girls all had their wands and empty goody bags and my two sons and husband (the gnomes) each had a big bag of candy. The fairies (the girls) chased the gnomes. If a gnome was touched by a fairy wand he had to throw a handful of candy. The fairies scrambled for the candy, filling their bags while the gnomes scurried away. The kids had an absolute BLAST with this game - WAY fun!
The fairies (girls) sat in a circle. I played music and the girls passed a wrapped package around. I would randomly stop the music and whoever was holding the gift got to unwrap one layer. I had wrapped it multiple times so everyone had the chance to unwrap one of the layers. The final layer revealed sparkly hair clips and fruity chapstick for everyone.
